Harvey Dorland has been an insurance recruiter since 1977 and opened his own firm, Pacific Recruiting, in 1979. INSURANCE is our only specialization and has been since our opening. We consider ourselves to be generalists. Our clients are Insurance Companies, National and Regional Brokers, Wholesalers and Risk Managers. While our geographic area of focus continues to be in California, our extensive contacts enable us to find the best available candidates' and the best available jobs throughout most of the U.S. They also give us the ability to present to our clients new business opportunities in the form of additional products, markets and / or acquisitions.

Our membership in the National Insurance Recruiters Association (NIRA), which has now merged with Insurance National Search (INS), affords our clients and candidates’ national exposure and resources.
